The 54,000 sq ft office refurbishment in the City of London is set to complete in Winter 2024. The redevelopment of the prominent site opposite the Bank of England has been designed by architects, Auckett Swanke. This renovation involves a 'back to frame' approach, reimagining the existing 1960s building for the 'post-pandemic' workforce, with extensive tenant amenity and cutting-edge sustainability credentials, including BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ and NABERS 5* targets. Alongside the creation of two additional floors, the façade will undergo an energy-efficient reconstruction, consisting of new Curtain Walling, Natural Limestone, and a Glazed Ceramic rainscreen. A new UKPN Substation will be implemented allowing for safer electricity delivery within the area. The redevelopment will also modernise the building, creating new private and communal terraces available to visitors with extensive Greening Factors. NAB Contractor has been entrusted with the drylining works, securing a total subcontract valued at £800,000 to contribute to the project.
